A bit more hunting, avoiding the white flakes swirling around and sure enough, a VERY bright nucleus caught my eye.
This comet would be an awesome dark sky object, too bad its so close to the sun. The coma has to be mag -3, heading southwest. The tail is easy in binos too - fan shaped but kind of split, the brightest edge to the east. Well worth hauling out some optics, it is so unusual to see this sort of object in full daylight.
Thanks again Leonard.....
